Full house at Futu: Henry Wong on multi-leg option orders
HKEX is pushing options hard, and Futu is promoting them at the same time. On 22 October, Henry Wong was invited to speak at Futu on one question: how do you actually place a multi-leg option order on the platform?

The room was full
Every seat was taken and people stood at the back and in the aisle. Some stood the whole two hours. After it ended, the queue to ask questions held for roughly another half hour.

What was covered
Multi-leg option orders
- What a multi-leg order is
- Why you would use one rather than legging in
- Custom structures versus preset ones
- What to check before the order goes in
Reading the option data
- What each data column actually means
- Using volatility analysis and unusual-activity screening
- Working with the option calculator
Live demo
- Screen-shared walkthrough of placing the order on the platform
Why this is worth recording
Options have long been treated as a gambling instrument by Hong Kong retail traders. With the exchange and the brokers both putting options on the table, access got easier while understanding did not. Every item on the agenda was mechanism — how an order is placed, how the data reads, what to check before you send it — rather than what to buy.
Futu's official Instagram collab
Futu's official Instagram published a promotion for the options bootcamp and sent a Collab Post invitation to Henry Wong's account, so the post appears on both profiles.
